Stronger by Nature: Rising to Glory
It all started three years ago with a dream and hope that one day a professional women’s soccer league would come to Canada. Many of us in the Crow Collective held and attended panels and events talking about everything that could and the we hoped would come to be. Page turn to when the league was announced and off we went. Many of us Crows were there when it was announced that we were to become Vancouver Rise FC, The name couldn’t have been more fitting. Stronger by Nature and together we were ready to become a force of nature. Rising Together was the motto and with that we become Crow Collective.
Fast forward to Apr 16th 2025 – We kicked off this thing and witnessed a moment in history, the creation of the Northern Super League coming to light. As the Crows marched down Robson chanting our new songs and ready to support the Northern Super League that we had longed for. We not only got to play the 1st game, but also scored that fateful first goal. Quinn, you marked your place in history and led our team to victory that faithful night and we started on a journey together.
To be a supporter in the stands, witnessing a piece of history, was not only special but truly incredible. Many people didn’t know what a supporter group was or what we are about, but we were ready to show the city and the league why Vancouver truly has the best fans. Its more than cheering for a team and coming up with chants. Being a supporter is expressing your passion. It’s about creating a culture and always providing a safe space to cheer together. It’s about supporting a movement. It’s about inspiring the next generation of athletes. Supporter culture, by Nature is to cheer your team to victory game after game. Cheering for this team is truly an honor.
To the management, coach staff and the all of the support folks behind the scenes, you did one hell of a job leading this team, creating the best atmosphere to make this moment real.
To the players, not only did you battle through adversity and injuries, but you proved to us and every supporter across Canada why you deserved to win that trophy. You rose to the occasion time and time again. The bonds you forged off the field clearly transferred onto it and it was clear that had each others’ backs. Your never-give-up attitude manifested greatness. You exemplify the meaning of Rising Together and we couldn’t be more proud of each and every single of one you. You earned this trophy, and now we can forever shout that we are the inaugural Northern Super League Champions!!
Congratulations to all members of the rise community. If it wasn’t fitting before it is most definitely fitting now …VANCOUVER RISE FC…. STRONGER BY NATURE!!
